Are you ready to turn your voice into a percussion powerhouse? The Beatbox Flow: Voice as an Instrument workshop series is arriving at the Zadar Youth Center, offering a unique opportunity to dive into the world of urban vocal percussion. Whether you are an aspiring musician, a fan of hip-hop culture, or just someone looking for creative things to do in Zadar, this educational program is designed to help you discover the hidden rhythms within your own breath and voice.
The “Beatbox Flow” program, organized by the CINAZ Association as part of the “KLOOZ” Youth Club, is a hands-on, creative journey through the fundamentals of beatboxing. Led by the talented Filip Rušin, this series of five workshops guides participants from the basic “kick, snare, and hi-hat” sounds to complex rhythmic patterns and vocal layering.
Participants will explore:
Fundamental Techniques: Learning to isolate and refine vocial sounds to mimic drums and electronic instruments.
Rhythmic Mastery: Developing timing and flow to create full musical compositions using only the voice.
Artist Identity: Understanding the role of beatboxing in contemporary urban culture and finding your unique vocal style.
Final Performance: The series concludes with a collaborative session, resulting in a joint performance or recording to showcase the newly acquired skills.
This workshop is a standout among Zadar region events for its focus on modern, alternative culture and individual creativity. It is the perfect chance to Visit Dalmatia and engage with the city’s vibrant youth scene while learning a skill that requires no equipment—just your voice.
