About the artist: Antun Boris Švaljek (Zagreb, 1951 – Zadar, 2023) was a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and an associate of the Master Workshop of Prof. Krsto Hegedušić. He was a long-time professor at the Široki Brijeg Academy of Fine Arts and was awarded the Order of the Croatian Daystar for his exceptional contribution to Croatian art. After spending his youth in Varaždin, he moved to Zadar in the early 1980s, where he lived and created for the rest of his life.
