Tonina is a caring and assertive owner of an accounting firm where she employs her husband and daughter, holding all the family strings in her hands. In addition to all her responsibilities, Tonina also cares for her demented and immobile mother. Her younger sister Tajana and her family have a much more relaxed and less ambitious approach to life.
The two sisters clash when Tonina secretly buys a part of their family house on the island from their cousin Željka, even though they had agreed to buy it together. A year later, Tonina and Tajana try to reconcile on their mother’s birthday, but tensions resurface.
This is the feature debut of director Igor Jelinović, with a strong cast led by Snježana Sinovčić Šiškov and Aleksandra Janković in the roles of the two sisters. The film premiered at the Rotterdam Film Festival.
