It is precisely these feelings that guide us in the concert Si dolce e’l tormento, named after the famous Monteverdi song that embodies the sweet beauty of love’s longing.
The Barresa Duo, consisting of soprano Barbara Pijetlović and guitarist Vanesa Kondor, brings a diverse program that includes works from the Renaissance and Baroque to the Romantic and Spanish repertoire. The program includes songs by John Dowland, Claudio Monteverdi, Tommaso Giordani, Fernando Sor, Ivo Padovac and Fernando Obradors, along with guitar miniatures by Isaac Albéniz, Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco and Agustín Barrios.
The concert is conceived as a musical journey through different styles and eras, in which voice and guitar intertwine in an intimate dialogue, revealing the wealth of colors, emotions and stories that music carries.
